Sometimes life can throw you a curveball. Sometimes there are dark nights of the soul and you walk through hard seasons. There are many peaks and valleys in life. Sometimes there’s even a year full of global pandemics, financial crashes, and strange events in nature that lead you to believe that we are staring down the barrel of the book of revelation! … Can anyone relate? But in all, no matter how hard life can be and no matter how difficult the journey can feel, we have a God who is with us, who loves us, who carries us, and who leads us. Because of Jesus, there is always hope. In our world right now that is so full of unprecedented events, loss, pain, panic, and uncertainty, we all need to be reminded that we can hope again!

In the book of Exodus, we see how quickly the people of God pursue the promise of God, but then panic in the face of pressure. How easy it was for the Israelites to forget that God had provided for them, had purpose for them, and had a promise for them. In a minute when seeing Pharaoh and his army on the attack, many of God’s people became seemingly hopeless. Join Pastor John as he walks us through this passage and reveals the parallel to us today, reminding us not to lose hope, but rather seek God through our seasons of suffering.
