SCRIPTURES:
So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone. But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
DEVOTIONAL:
Burden often begins at home. Not in a condemning way - in a calling way. “As for me and my house…” isn’t a slogan. It’s a stand. Some of the biggest breakthroughs come when someone in the house finally says, “It doesn’t have to stay like this.” Prayer becomes leadership. Intercession becomes spiritual covering.
Today, don’t aim your burden at “people out there.” Start with the people you’re responsible to love. Ask God for fresh fire in your home - marriage, kids, roommates, extended family. You might not control outcomes, but you can contend in prayer.
QUESTIONS:
1. What spiritual climate am I cultivating in my home?
2. Where do I need to apologize and reset the tone?
3. Who in my family needs me to pray consistently, not occasionally?
PRAYER:
God, save my house. Heal what’s broken. Restore what’s been stolen. Make my home a place where Your name is honored. Amen.
FASTING FOCUS:
