SCRIPTURES:
I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.
As for me, I will certainly not sin against the Lord by ending my prayers for you. And I will continue to teach you what is good and right.
DEVOTIONAL:
God said He looked for someone to “stand in the gap.” That means history can hinge on intercession. Not because you’re powerful - because God is merciful and He responds to prayer. A burden without prayer becomes anxiety. But a burden with prayer becomes authority. Intercession is where God trains you to carry weight without collapsing.
Today, don’t just feel heavy - get holy. Stand in the gap for your church. Your leaders. Your generation. Your land. Let your burden become a meeting place with God.
QUESTIONS:
1. Where am I carrying weight that I haven’t brought to God?
2. Who is God asking me to “stand in the gap” for?
3. What would consistency in prayer look like for me?
PRAYER:
Father, teach me to pray. Make my life a doorway for Your mercy. Use me to stand in the gap with faith and humility. Amen.
FASTING FOCUS:
Fast complaining. Every time you want to criticize, pray instead.
