TRUST IN GOD

Isaiah 12:2 (ESV): “Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for the Lord God is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.”

daily devotional

Numbers 23:19 (ESV) says: “God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?”

Too many times, we tend to put our confidence in people, or things, that are insufficient. It’s no wonder we begin to crater under the weight of fear, anxiety, and hopelessness when coming against a great foe, like a goliath.

When facing a battle with our eyes fixed on objects that we can carry that will never be able to carry us, we set ourselves up for crisis and failure.

Why do we do this?

Why do we not have a greater depth of understanding of the power, integrity, and love of our God?

He is the kind of father that would come running if ever a slight hint of danger. We can be confident that no matter what happens to us, He is with us and has a plan for us … no matter what our enemy may bring.No matter the sinister thoughts of evil our enemy has toward us, somehow, God will turn it all for our good and for His glory.

We can confidently, with the greatest of hope and assurance, know that our God has not and will never lie to us. Our God will not change His mind about us. There is nothing that our God cannot do. There is no battle that our God cannot win. There is no situation that our God won’t step into, especially when it pertains to us.

Our God is a faithful, powerful, and able Father.

No matter the situation, suffering, or circumstance, God is with us.

PRAYER:

Thank you, Father, that I don’t have to fight on my own. Thank you that You are my strength, my portion, and my protection. Thank you that you are Holy, powerful, honest, pure, radiant, able, and faithful. Thank you that you know me, love me, and have the best intentions for my life. No matter what I may face, or be called to endure, thank you God that you work all things together for Your glory and for my good.
