WALK WITH YOU

EXODUS 33:13-14 (NASB)
Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, let me know Your ways that I may know You, so that I may find favor in Your sight. Consider too, that this nation is Your people.” And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.”

daily devotional

What an overwhelming and amazing thought that we have favor in the sight of the all powerful, all knowing, miraculous God? How amazing is it that there is no part in all of creation that is unknown and out of reach to Him; that He holds all things together and keeps all things in order; and yet, He still knows every intimate detail of our lives?

Not only that, but He is holistically invested in knowing every intimate detail of our lives!

His love for us is wildly profound.

The mere knowledge of His existence should be enough to demand a response of unwavering reverence; yet, through Jesus, He invites us to a relationship that goes beyond the knowledge of His existence. He initiates a personal friendship with us. This God, supernatural in every way, desires to know us, walk with us, and pour His life-giving presence into us. He is a good Father,  a trustworthy friend, and an all deserving God - worthy of all praise, honor, and glory.

He is calling to us this morning, inviting us to walk with Him today. May His worthiness alone stir in us a passion for His presence. He draws near, close to us, when we exalt Him. The purest way we can worship Him is to exalt Him through the offering of our willing obedience to His Word, and His ways. May we lean into His Word and His ways today, that we may know the depths of His love. May we listen for His instruction today that we may walk closely with Him, and see the favor of His presence in all we do. May we choose to see that our obedience to Him is an opportunity rather than an obligation. Because of His great love for us, we have the privilege of His presence, His nearness, His favor, and His blessing. May we find ourselves in a place of deep gratitude for these promises today and because of this; may the words of our mouths, and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing to Him alone.

“God's commands are designed to guide you to life's very best. You will not obey Him,
if you do not believe Him and trust Him. You cannot believe Him if you do not love Him.
You cannot love Him unless you know Him.”

- Henry Blackaby
